“Simple Stripes” baby/child’s blanket

Materials:                 20? oz. Red Heart “Skipper Blue” worsted weight yarn

                                Small amount Red Heart “White” worsted weight yarn

Size I hook or size needed to obtain gauge

 

Finished size: 34” x 50”

 

Gauge: 3 hdc & 2 rows = 1”              

 

Abbreviations:

Ch = chain

Ea = each

Hdc = half double crochet

Sc = single crochet

Trc = treble crochet

 

Directions:

Row 1: With blue, Ch 151, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in ea ch across: 150 hdc.

Rows 2-10: Ch 2, turn, hdc in ea hdc across.

Row 11: With white, Ch 3, turn, trc in ea hdc across.

Rows 12-21: Repeat row 2.

Row 22: Repeat row 11.

Rows 23-32: Repeat row 2.

Row 33: Repeat row 11.

Rows 34-43: Repeat row 2.

Row 44: Repeat row 11.

Rows 45-54: Repeat row 2.

Row 55: Repeat row 11.

Rows 56-64: Repeat row 2. Finish off.  

 

Border:

Work 3 rows of sc evenly around with white, 3 sc in ea corner.
